Buddy Spaulding
Elder

Buddy Spaulding was raised and has lived in Waldo County nearly all his life. He has served as a lay elder and Bible teacher for about thirty years, with particular interests in church history, western thought and the Christian faith, and the intersection of faith and science. He holds a BS in civil engineering and a Masters in public administration, both from the University of Maine, and is a member of the American Scientific Affiliation, a network of Christians working in or trained in the sciences.

Much of his professional career has been with the Maine Department of Transportation, in many capacities, and he has also been employed as a truck driver, has had a small consulting business, and currently is co-owner of a commercial truck driving school. He enjoys sports, especially football and baseball, and was a baseball coach at levels ranging from Little League to high school varsity for seventeen years.

He has been married to Lori for nearly forty years, has three adult children and four grandchildren.
