Known By God
  • Read 1 Timothy 6:3-5.  List the characteristics of people who are either teaching false doctrines, don’t agree with sound instruction, and are not teaching what is godly.

  • How does a focus on words help or hinder a godly discussion?

  • From the message and your own study, why does Paul consciously change his phrasing in Galatians 4:9?

  • What support do you find for your interpretation in the immediate context of Galatians?

  • Read 2 Timothy 2:19.  This verse could be a summary of the message of Galatians.  How does this verse amplify or illuminate Galatians 2:20?

  • Read Galatians 4:7. According to the text, what is the advantage of being a son?

  • Why does Paul use the picture of inheritance when God will never die to leave an inheritance?

  • In what ways does the truth that you are a child of God with an inheritance motivate you to leave the “miserable principles” you used to live under?

  • You know God, but does God know you? Will he admit that you are his child?

  • Read Galatians 2:20.  Work on memorizing this verse.
