Redeeming the Time:
Eternal Results, Part 1

Getting to know me:
Take a moment to share your memory of receiving good news. What made it so good? How did you feel when you heard it? What did you do in response to the news?

Scripture:
Did this week’s message raise any questions? If so, what were they?

Read Acts 17:1-9. This passage deals with a difficult time in Paul’s life. But even difficult times have their silver lining. List some of the positive things Paul may have felt in Thessalonica.

How would you describe the response to Paul’s message in Athens? (Acts 17:16-33)

Have you ever seen anyone who responded in a positive way to a message? Share the story.

Application:
Did you sense God speaking to you in a special way during the message? If he did, share what God was speaking to you about.

The Thessalonian church developed deep convictions about the gospel. Do you have the same deep convictions about the gospel? Do you questions parts of it? If so, what parts and why?

What are some things you could do to be more prepared to listen to God’s message? Are there any attitudes or circumstances that may be robbing your joy?
