If we want to redeem the time, we need to connect with people:

1. Spouses

2. Children

3. Co-workers

How do we connect?

We need to be people who try to please God.

Three groups of people that we desire to please:

• Hostile world
• Our friends
• Ourselves

How do we fight the desire to please these groups?

1. by relying on God’s help to speak up

2. by checking our motives

3. by opening ourselves to God

Ask yourselves two questions:

1. Are you God-centered or people centered? Do you show your faith out of respect for God or do you quiet your faith out of respect for other people?

2. In what way are you connecting with people and using your influence to introduce them to the good news that Jesus has for them?
