Read Matthew 5:23-25.
It is natural for us to want our adversary to give us our rights, but Jesus wants us to confess our anger quickly, get right with God and be reconciled to our enemy. Jesus is laying down this principle - do what you know you must do and do it quickly. Have you practiced this principle of proactive reconciliation? If so, discuss one memorable example.
Read Matthew 5:26.
There is no sin in heaven. God wants us to see that we have no right to ourselves. The scrutiny of His Holy Spirit is to get us rightly related to God and to our fellow men. God will help you take the right road. Discuss whether you should resolve this day to write that letter or e-mail, or make that call today, and get right with that person, and experience the cleanliness and freedom of forgiving.
Read Ps. 39:4.
When we realize life has an end and we want to make the most of what we're given, we learn to use our time wisely. What does it mean to you to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness?
Read Jeremiah 1:8 and Jeremiah 45:5.
The Lord promises to protect our lives. We should never look for justice in this world, but we should always strive to give it. Discuss with someone how you demanded justice in a particular situation and recall the results - pleasant or unpleasant.

At one time or another, all of us have thought that we knew better than those in charge. Can a person with pride have a satisfying relationship with God? Consider how humility is essential to faith.
Read Deuteronomy 8:2-3.
We recognize physical hunger easily enough. Human nature compels us to focus almost entirely on the physical. The source of spiritual nourishment is more important than the nourishment itself. Ask God to help you to make better use of your time.
